He has been an active fill-in preacher and Sunday School teacher for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Susie Harvey Adams, to whom he was married on June 16, 1972 in Malvern; by his daughters, Heather Adams Mc Kim (Mike) of Bryant, Ashley Adams Tackett (Eddie) of Bauxite, and Lindsay Adams Robinson (Raymond) of Alexander; his mother, Dora Adams of Bauxite; a brother, Gary Adams of Memphis; three sisters, Suzanna Osburn ( Charles) of Bigelow, Karan Stewart (Howard) of North Little Rock, and Debra Hanson (Chet) of Bauxite; eight grandchildren, Aaron and Ashlin Kizer, Trey Mc Kim, Braden and Peyton Tackett, Austin, Dalis, and Anniston Robinson. Ainsworth, age 90 of Malvern, died Friday, September 25, 2015 in the Baptist Health Medical Center in Malvern.
She was born Pansy Juanita Oden in Hammon, Oklahoma on August 12, 1925 to the late Ollie Oden and Myrtle Britt Oden.
The Means and Noble families have been a part of this local area for well over 150 years and included several doctors, judges, and lawyers in Hot Spring County and Arkansas. Abbott was educated in the Malvern Public Schools, graduating in the Class of 1922. She is survived by one grandson, Mark Abbott of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; by one granddaughter, Susan Reid of Dickinson, Texas; by five great-grandchildren, Lauren and Alan Abbott, and Valerie, Lauren, and Katelyn Reid; and by several nieces and nephews, including Virginia Abbott Robertson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funk Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from five until seven o’clock. Eunice was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Greer Adams; brothers, Wilburn and Alfred Greer; sisters, Constance Reynolds, Freda Stiles, and Annie Darby; and dear friend Louise Bailey.
She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Malvern Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Abbott was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Willis Ralph Abbott, Sr.; by one son, Willis Ralph Abbott, Jr.; by one daughter, Sue Abbott Uhlhorn; by one sister, Ruth White; by four brothers, William, Ben, H. Graveside services will be held at eleven o’clock Thursday morning, September 6, 2007 in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Reverend Carl Mc Cormack officiating. Her funeral will be two o’clock Thursday afternoon, July 3, 2014 in the chapel of J. Funk Funeral Home with Bryan Braswell, Edgar Simmons, Ed Hollingsworth, and Pat Greer speaking. Pallbearers are: Charlie, Mike and Jason Hollingsworth, Dan Gilliam, Billy Beck, Adam Roberts, Reed Roberts, and Warren Spillman.
He was born on December 17, 1952 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Dora Erhard Adams and the late Clarence Howard Adams.
The child of a railroad man, he received his early education in many different places, due to his family’s frequent moves up and down the railroad line.
Lawrence was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Alderman, and two granddaughters, Ansley and Adley Alderman. These include the Air Medal and four Bronze Battle Stars.
He was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in Benton.Oden (Raylene) of Rogers, Arkansas; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.Pat was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Owen, by a brother and a sister, and by her beloved Dalmatian, Pepper.He graduated high school at Central High in Little Rock.He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 27 years as conductor.
She was an avid artist and hobbiest, and was known for her embroidery, sewing, and self-taught musical abilities on the keyboard and harmonica.
